To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Nate’s design firm, all of #TeamNate hit up South Beach in grand style for a weekend of fun. Check out our unofficial Miami travel guide to the extra-inspiring places that made our trip so special.
Stay: The newly-opened Faena in Miami Beach. We LOVED it. Lounging by the pool was a major highlight, as was the complimentary “Butler” coffee brought to our rooms, all day long. High-end and gorgeous, no detail is too small. Case in point, the custom Nate Berkus cookies that were in all our rooms upon arrival!
Eat: Los Fuegos by Francis Mallmann at Faena – amazing ambiance and outdoor seating, plus the best steak & spicy tequila! Also, Mandolin Aegean Bistro, one of Nate’s favorite places to eat in Miami. The food here is simple, delicious, and authentic to the villages of Greece and Turkey.
Club: Dancing at Basement Miami is a blast. Plus, they also have a bowling alley and ice rink, so you can live out all your “Blades Of Glory” dreams. (See Nate doing so at left!)

Drink: Make sure to get a Cortado or Cordadito, i.e. Cuban coffee – high octane fuel that will keep you buzzing all day long. You can find these at any local Cuban coffee shops here.
Shop: C. Madeleine’s: Nate’s favorite thing to do wherever he travels is to go vintage shopping. In Miami, this consignment store is one of his favorites…and not to be missed if you love one of a kind designer finds (pictured at right).
Do: Rent bikes from Fritz’s Skate Bike & Surf and ride along the boardwalk, past Nikki Beach to the Marina. It’s a quick, and oh-so fun way to see South Beach.
