It’s been a year for the books, and over here at Team Nate we can hardly believe that the holidays are here. As some of you may know, Nate is known for his on-point gift-giving skills. So, to keep things festive and get everyone in the giving mood, Nate teamed up with Domino to share his favorite gift guide selects for 2020. Read on for Nate’s list.
Of course this year there should be many treats under the tree: Tanqueray gin (gimlet, anyone?), gorgeous chocolates from AndSons (in the Peace and Palm Trees box designed by Nate Berkus Associates), shiny jewelry from Storrow and Maria Beaulieu, and the Careyes candle by Jeremiah Brent x Grove Co. Nate has said that Isabel Wilkerson’s Caste was hands-down the best book he’d read all year; it should be in everyone’s stocking. For those who love to gift an experience, a virtual candle-making workshop by Wax Kandy.
If this year has taught us anything, it’s how important our homes are. Step up your dinner game with Leeway tabletop, and the wood and bone inlay servers from XN Studio. Speaking of dinner: we can’t live without Joan’s on Third‘s balsamic vinegar which will be available online for nationwide shipping beginning in January (right now, it’s available for local orders only). Try-at-home fragrances by Snif.
We can support museums who can’t be open now by shopping their gifts online, like the new Planet Word Museum and the MOMA Design Store. Taking care of others is the theme this year; consider a donation to the Loveland Foundation which provides therapy for Black women and girls. My dear friend Barri Leiner Grant has created The Memory Circle to support others in grief; there are writing workshops to gift but also beautiful messages and a community to let someone know they’re not alone this season.
