Nate Berkus Associates, New York is seeking a Design Assistant to provide direct design and administrative support to the Partner and senior staff, while contributing to the overall success of the studio. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping the NBA team bring designs to life.  

What You Will Do
- Support design and project management teams throughout all project phases
- Manage project ordering, tracking, receipts, and vendor communication
- Coordinate with receiving warehouses
- Prepare FF&E presentations and schedules, including specification writing
- Assist with material sourcing, selections, and sample coordination
- Support project logistics, including scheduling, meeting notes, and administrative tasks for client projects  
- Assist with installation preparation and provide on-site support as needed

Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field
- Minimum 2 to 3+ years of professional experience at a design firm
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Studio Designer
- Exhibit a high level of initiative and ability to anticipate needs of the senior staff
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication abilities  
- Adaptable and flexible, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of high-end vendors, materials, and the D&D building
- Basic understanding of construction documents and processes, is a plus

Nate Berkus Entertainment is seeking an intern for the fall semester beginning September 2026. This position would require 1-2 day(s) of work per week.

Be part of the development and design process for Nate Berkus–branded home products. Support the team across a variety of creative and administrative tasks, including presentation preparation, concept ideation, newsletter layout, photo editing, and rendering. Applicants pursuing the following fields are encouraged to apply:

  • Surface Design
  • Product Design

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, detail‑oriented self‑starter with a strong interest in home design. Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is required, along with comfort working on a Mac. Experience with Mailchimp and Excel/Google Sheets is a plus.
