British artist Julia Condon is a long time friend of Nate’s, and those of you with eagle eyes may have noticed one of her mobiles in his home – in daughter Poppy’s room. Now, for the first time, limited editions of Julia’s unique, handmade mobiles are exclusively available on Nate’s 1stdibs store. She has made three mobiles, each available in editions of 15. Aptly named Jupiter, Mars (at left), Mercury – a nod to their ethereal, space-like qualities.
Julia’s mobiles are all hand-painted, with glass sourced from makers in Cornwall, India, and Mexico, as well as from vintage chandeliers and fittings. Accenting the larger glass sculptures are assorted beads made from quartz crystal, resin, and semi-precious stones. To learn more about Julia Condon and her work, click here.
