A Family Friendly Minnesota Home In House Beautiful

Our Edina, Minnesota project was featured in the August/September issue of House Beautiful. Spearheaded by NBA’s Lauren Buxbaum Gordon, the challenge was to make the 12,000 square foot home feel grounded, and imbue a feeling of togetherness for this young family, plus their two dogs. Smartly planned and beautifully executed, we think you’ll agree that Lauren and the team did just that.

The clients emphasized, “nothing too fancy” — one might be tempted to turn to subway tile, but Lauren leveled up the look in the kitchen above with glazed bricks, which are the same shape but with a more rustic, less shiny surface. A contrasting grout highlights the imperfections in the surface of each tile to make them look even more warm and architectural.
