This airy, sun-filled home designed by Nate and Jeremiah did not start off that way. It was originally a Tudor house comprised of small, dark rooms built in 1925, before the era of modern indoor-outdoor living that California is known for. The Robbins – Brian is the president of Nickelodeon, and his wife Tracy is a stylist – wanted to create a home that reflected their laid-back Californian aesthetic, and also their young, modern family. Nate and Jeremiah “cracked it open” to create a more gracious floor plan, and invited the natural light in through replacing nearly all the doors and windows with iron & glass. It was about creating a home that truly reflected the family – one that felt sophisticated, happy and warm. By all accounts they succeeded.
