Early 20th Century Maison Jansen daybed features a squared headboard and footboard on a scrolling base veneered in figured wood. The piece is adorned with a carved and gilded foliate border, and is padded and upholstered in black leather with tooled gilded designs. The rails are also upholstered in black leather, and the cushion is a sturdy tan upholstery with self welting. The frame is stamped with the Jansen mark.
